Question: I am a local business and one of my employees was infectious while at work. What should I do for other employees who were exposed?

Thank you for your concern about employee health and wellness. The best thing that you can do for your employees and business to prevent further spread is:

  • Collect the names, contact information, and date/time/duration of contact between the case and all close contacts
  • Notify those individuals that they have been exposed; unvaccinated individuals should quarantine and vaccinated individuals should self-monitor. Please see the "If You Have Been Exposed" page for more information to share.
  • Contact the La Crosse County Health Department and share the close contact information so that we can follow-up with those individuals. Please email this information to [email protected]rg. A member of the Disease Control team will reach out to you with questions if needed.
