Open houses to discuss the county's new Community Sustainability Plan will be held in Farmington, Greenfield and West Salem.
La Crosse County is hosting open houses in Farmington, Greenfield and West Salem to discuss a new Community Sustainability Plan.
The plan will focus on how we can make towns and rural parts of our county more resilient as our climate changes. All are welcome to attend to learn about the plan and provide input and ideas. The dates for the open houses are as follows:
-Wednesday, May 22, 4-6:30 p.m., Farmington Town Hall (N8309 County Road C)
-Thursday, June 6, 4-6:30 p.m., Greenfield Town Hall (N1800 Town Hall Rd)
-Monday, June 24, 4-6:30 p.m., West Salem Library (702 Industrial Drive)
The Community Sustainability Plan will empower residents to implement solutions that reduce harmful emissions, promote sustainability, and strengthen climate change adaptation.
“Feedback from town residents will define the plan’s priorities,” said Dillon Constant, La Crosse County Planner. “Collaboration will help us determine how the county can best serve the community and protect our natural resources.”
Anyone interested in providing input can also participate in the county’s survey by clicking here. Send questions about the open houses or the plan to [email protected].
