Interested in getting a membership at the YMCA? Sign up for Wellness Warriors (not an exercise class) at the Dahl Family YMCA! The class meets on Mondays from 4-5pm for 8 weeks. If you are interested, contact Anna Stindt at [email protected]!

The Thomas Rooney Post 1530 VFW will be hosting their Omelet Breakfast on January 19th from 8am-noon! For $10 you get a 3-egg omelet, hashbrowns or American fries, and white or wheat toast. You can find them at 630 6th Street S, La Crosse, WI 54601.

Join the La Crosse Area Veterans Mentor Program for the AFC/NFC Championship & Bourbon Bash on Sunday, January 26th at Beedles Bar & Restaurant! There will be raffles, all you can eat food and drink for the price of $135 per person. The menu includes walleye, prime rib, seafood pasta, and chicken Oscar and there will be appetizers, salad bard, and beer cheese soup. All proceeds will be donated to the LAVMP and New Horizons. To sign up please call Annie at 608-539-2251, there will be a limit of 100 people for this event!

Veteran Mile Gateway Training will be taking place online on Wednesday, January 29th at 1pm or 6pm EST. This training is a FREE 90-minute session designed to equip veterans with tools for mental health resilience, peer mentorship, and wellness leadership. This is a unique opportunity to foster personal growth, build a supportive veteran community, and fight stigma around mental health. Tomah VA Medical Center is hosting an in-person Veterans Town Hall on January 30, 2025, at the Onalaska American Legion, beginning at 5:00pm! This meeting is open to the public and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

The La Crosse County Council of the American Legion is hosting a Vietnam War Remembrance Day for a Welcome Home Celebration to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from noon to 4pm at the Onalaska American Legion. Enjoy lunch catered by Big Boar BBQ provided at no cost to attendees. Share in camaraderie with your fellow veterans and be recognized for your service and sacrifice to our nation. The event is open to any Vietnam Era Veteran and a guest. La Crosse County Veterans Services will be hosting a Veterans Expo on April 8th, 2025, from 9am-11:30am at the Onalaska Omni Center! All vendors will have something specifically for veterans! More details to follow.
