When is the last time you did a VA veteran benefits review with the Veteran Services Office?
Veterans are welcome to schedule a benefits review annually. We verify dependents on veteran's award if the veteran has a 30% or greater rating and we will review benefits, to include survivor benefits! Call 608-785-9719 to book an appointment!

Community News & Event Announcements:
-Freedom Honor Flight is May 3, 2025! Hosted at Colgan Air Services at 2709 Fanta Reed Road, La Crosse, WI. Everyone is encouraged to send off the veterans in the morning or to welcome them home in the evening. Hanger doors open at 5am and program at 6am. The veterans board after the program. The flight returns between 9-10pm with doors opening around 8:30pm. Free parking and complimentary continental breakfast.
-La Crosse County Veterans Service Commission meets on May 19th, 2025. The Commission's purpose is to provide emergency assistance to needy veterans and to the family members or recently deceased veterans who reside in La Crosse County. Application and supporting documents are due on May 14, 2025. Applications may be picked up from the La Crosse County Veteran Service Office at 300 4th Street N, La Crosse, WI.
-Join us at the Senior Fair at the Onalaska Omni Center on Wednesday, May 21 from 10am-Noon. The Onalaska Library invites all to come learn about the great resources and opportunities in our community!
-Memorial Day flagging is slated for Wednesday, May 21st! Volunteers are encouraged to assist in placing flags on veteran's graves. Please contact your cemetery caretake for specific information!
-Fort McCoy will be hosting an Armed Forces Day Open House on Saturday, May 17th from 9am-3pm at the Fort McCoy Commemorative Area (1571 S. 9th Ave., Sparta, WI 54656). This open house is free and family-friendly! Join them for the Military Parade at 10:30am and the Veteran's Recognition Ceremony at 11:00am. -Driftless Crossfit is hosting a 5-mile Walk, Run, Ruck on Saturday, May 24th from 10am-2pm! The event is open to all as an opportunity to bring the community together for a great time while honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Starting point is Driftless Crossfit, N6172 County Rd XX STE 15, Onalaska, WI.
-Men's Shed will be hosted at the Tomah Senior Center (11002 Superior Ave, Tomah, WI) on May 27, 2025, from 1:30-3pm. Men's Shed is a club for men over 60 in La Crosse and Monroe Counties. This month's topic is Coulee Region and Fort McCoy Natural Resources! Free lunch is from 12:30-1:15pm. Please call the ADRC of La Crosse County to register at 608-785-5700.
-Needing some Dental Care? We are collecting information to gauge interest on hosting a free Dental Clinic! The clinic is in the initial planning stages and would probably occur in the early fall.
