2025 Budget Proposal

The county's proposed budget for 2025 has been released, ahead of a public hearing and vote by the county board on Nov. 12.

A recent presentation by County Administrator Jane Klekamp to the county board noted that her budget recommendation would:

--Maintain La Crosse County's exceptional service to the public.

--Invest in staff with a 3% raise, no change in health premiums, leadership training, and a comprehensive wage review.

--Fund record highway construction spending to continue improvement in road conditions.

--Balance competing priorities while county debt and tax rate decline.
