The Zoning, Planning & Land Information Department is committed to assisting on all aspects of land services for the County, including permitting, planning, land information, and mapping.

• To assist and advise individuals, businesses, professionals, and governmental communities by uniformly administering all chapters of the La Crosse County Code of Ordinances pertaining to land use.  
• To balance individual property rights with the health, safety, and welfare of the public by instituting appropriate land use and growth management controls and by carrying out comprehensive planning efforts to provide the most efficient delivery of public services.  
• To coordinate a land information system, which is thorough, accurate and accessible for use by the public and private sector.

Public Hearings

Meeting Information

The PRD Board typically meets monthly in the County Administrative Center, located at 212 6^th Street North. All meetings are open to the public. However, dates and times could vary for special circumstances. For any special meetings or possible changes due to Holidays or other conflicts, check the agenda. The meeting typically begins at 4:30 p.m. and any scheduled public hearings begin at approximately 6:00 p.m.
