This committee is responsible for general oversight of the Purchase of Agricultural Conservation Easements (PACE) Program, including reviewing and recommending any needed changes to the ordinance; developing an application form and procedure for the PACE Program; reviewing and providing oversight in assessing all applications according to the general purposes, objectives and provisions of the PACE Program; makes recommendations regarding individual conservation easement instruments; makes recommendations regarding acceptance of easements; establishes monitoring procedures. The Farmland Preservation Committee reports to the Planning, Resources, and Development Committee prior to consideration by the County Board.
