Erosion Control

The purpose of the Erosion Control program is to protect La Crosse County's unique natural resources by minimizing the amount of sediment carried by runoff or discharged from land disturbance activities to perennial waters, wetlands, private properties, and public right-of-ways.

Note: If your project is located within the boundaries of a village or the cities of La Crosse and Onalaska, please contact your respective municipality for land disturbance permitting.

Storm Water Management

The purpose of the  Storm Water program is to establish long-term, storm water runoff management that will diminish the threats to public health, safety, public and private property and the aquatic environment.
