The Onalaska Public Library was constructed in 1989 and has 20,000 square feet. In 2008 the City of Onalaska added approximately 8,000 square feet of media, meeting, and mechanical space to the building. City of Onalaska website

The La Crosse County Library and the Friends of the Library offer used and donated materials for sale. Each library location has book sale items. Onalaska's items are near the circulation desk; current pricing is posted in the sale area.
