La Crosse County Seal-A-Smile

La Crosse County Seal-A-Smile is a school-based dental sealant program serving select schools in La Crosse County. This program is funded by Wisconsin Seal-A-Smile, a collaborative program between the Children’s Health Alliance of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and Delta Dental of Wisconsin. Wisconsin Dental Pain Protocol

La Crosse County Health Department is a partner with the Wisconsin Dental Pain Protocol (WDPP). The WDPP is a systemic approach implemented by Emergency Departments (ED), Urgent Care Centers (UCC), dentists and community partners to reduce opioid use for patients presenting with non-traumatic dental pain. After an individual is seen in a local ED/UCC, a referral is made to a Dental Care Coordinator. The Dental Care Coordinator assists individuals with finding dental care. This program is funded through Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
